This superhero series is full of people with evolved special powers. Their struggle against human oppression is a theme everyone can relate to in some way. Plus, Hugh Jackman’s interpretation of Wolverine doesn’t hurt its popularity. And this series is continuing with new tales.

With a charming and alluring character that that will never die, this franchise will only stop when they stop making movies. It is constantly reinvented with fresh plots and action sequences for a new era and audience.

6. Indiana Jones


Steven Spielberg and George Lucas join forces to bring us this series of wild and exciting adventures. Harrison Ford plays the heroic and fearless professor of archeology, Indiana Jones. This story was refreshed for a new audience by introducing Indiana’s son, played by Shia LaBeouf, and there are plans to continue with the franchise.

7. Back to the Future


In this fun series, a teenager goes time travelling in a Delorean car that was turned into a time machine by his wacky friend Dr. Emmitt Brown. If you’re from the 80s, this movie will give you nostalgia.

8. Godfather


Francis Ford Coppola’s film about an aging crime boss transferring his power to his son completely changed the movie industry. This series is a classic American tragedy that will never be equaled.

9. Dollars Trilogy


Sergio Leone’s western trilogy instantly propelled Clint Eastwood to mega stardom while completely reinvigorating the western genre. His “spaghetti westerns” are in a league of their own with a unique style. Ennio Morricone’s fantastic score adds to the drama and beauty of the films.

10. Rocky


Everybody knows the story of struggling boxer Rocky Balboa. This is a story of Americana at its best. Knowing there is no shot to win but continuing to go the distance has a universal human appeal. Great performances by Sylvester Stallone and the entire supporting cast keep this franchise fresh.
