The audiences in the US first met her after she starred in ABC’s TV series “Quantico”, and now this South Asian star is about to make the transition to the big screen as she is apparently in talks to join Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario and Kelly Rohrbach in the upcoming “Baywatch” reboot by Seth Gordon.
Now, before you start imagining Chopra wearing the famous red one-piece swimsuit, you should know that the actress is actually signing up for a role of the story’s villain.
Also, the whole thing needs to be officially confirmed as the contract will depend on whether Baywatch shooting will coincide with her current project Quantico, but we’re positive they’ll figure something out.
As you already probably know, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be inheriting the famous role of a devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchannon from the one and only David Hasselhoff, while Alexandra Daddario will be portraying Summer Quinn, originally played buy by Nicole Egger back in the ‘90s.
Pamela Anderson’s role as C.J. Parker now belongs to Kelly Rohrbach, while Efron will be depicting “an unspecified hotheaded young guard who must help his colleagues take on an oil tycoon’s plans that include beach-threatening environmental chaos”, as Empire reports.
The project has been in pre-production since November 2015, so we should see these guys running down the sandy beach sometime next year.
