Fast & Furious

New Fast & Furious movie shuts the mouths of all those who were asking questions like: Why are they still making these movies? Nobody watches them anymore.

Fast & Furious 8” or “The Fate Of The Furious” grossed $100.1 million at the American box office alone in its opening weekend and the franchise indeed seems unstoppable.

But that is not all.

As Empire reports, the studio estimates place the new Furious installment on a road towards another huge box office win.

Namely, Fast & Furious 8 earned a total of $532.4 million globally during its first weekend at the box office worldwide, so it comes as no surprise that they are referring to this latest movie as the beginning of a brand new F&;F trilogy.

No Real Competition

It seems that the rest of Hollywood knew they needed to get out of the way for Vin Diesel and the gang as Fast & Furious 8 was the only big release in the US this weekend.

The Lost City Of Z” opened on only four screens, while “ The Boss Baby” simply fell to second place with $15.5 million, which is far from bad though.

Beauty And The Beast” earned $13.3 million in its third week, crossing $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

The 4th place is reserved for “Smurfs: The Lost Village” that grossed $6.5 million, while the 5th slot on US box office is occupied by “Going In Style” that snatched $6.3 million.
