Another big name will possibly be joining the cats of Disney’s Beauty And The Beast reboot. Frozen’s Josh Gad is in final negotiations to star in the upcoming live-action adaptation and for a role that he will surely be great in. Gad will portray Le Fou, Gaston’s goofy and loyal sidekick.

The live-action adaptation will be directed by Bill Condon and produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman. Alongside Josh Gad (if something doesn’t go terribly wrong during final negotiations), actors who will be starring in the movie are Emma Watson (who will be portraying the main role of Belle), Dan Stevens (the Beast) and Luke Evans (Gaston).

Beauty And The Beast is an Oscar nominated animated movie, released in 1991, which tells the story of a young woman, Belle, who falls in love with a cursed prince (Beast) while taking her father’s place as a prisoner in a castle.

We can only hope that Gad does in fact have time to take on this interesting role, since he would be perfect for it.

He is pretty busy at the moment, but he’s also familiar with working with Disney, since he worked on Frozen, giving the snowman Olaf his characteristic voice.

He even participated in Disney’s announcement, on Thursday, that there will be a Frozen 2. He will be returning as Olaf in the sequel, as well as in the short film Frozen Fever that plays prior to Cinderella in theatres now. Gad will next appear on the big screen alongside Adam Sandler and Peter Dinklage in Pixels.

Beauty And The Beast still doesn’t have an official release date.
