Famed director Ava DuVerney’s next project might be featuring none of the biggest starts in Hollywood. Lupita Nyong’o, who came to fame thanks to her role in 12 Years a Slave, is reportedly negotiating her way into Intelligent Life.
The script is being written by Collin Trevorrow (who previously worked on Jurassic World) and Dereck Connolly. The story follows a man who works in the department created to represent humanity in the event of alien contact.
Nyong’o, if she decides to take on the role, will play a mysterious woman who turns out to be an alien. The man eventually falls for her. Frank Marshall will oversee the project, while Steven Spielberg’s Amblin company will back up the movie.
Shooting is set to start this summer. In the meantime, you can check out the talented and stunning Nyong’o voice in The Jungle Book, in which she voices Raksha.
