Although his fanbase grew the most thanks to his role in the TV show “Castle,” Nathan Fillion’s first notable role and the one we will always remember him by was the one in “Firefly.” That being said, it shouldn’t be too hard to imagine him as a superhero, should it?

The 44-year-old actor couldn’t agree more. While talking at the Wizard World Comic Con Chicago this weekend, Fillion was asked which superhero he would like to play as.

Here’s his answer: “I think I could take a pretty good crack at Booster Gold. That’s kind of my niche… show-offy, vain. I think I could handle that… not too bright.”

Booster Gold is a DC Comics character known for being over-the-top, egotistical, and extravagant. His glory-driven enthusiasm comes from the fact that he’s from the future, which allows him to predict the outcome of many events.

If this wasn’t enough, Fillion also had a backup answer: “I think Ambush Bug. Remember that guy? Little bit off his rocker. You’d never see my face. But I think Greatest American Hero is due for a reboot.”

Who knows? If Nathan hasn’t found his calling starring as a crime writer/assistant detective in “Castle,” perhaps a big screen adaptation centered on Booster Gold will give make his dreams come true.
