This quality action-packed movie written by Tom O’Connor and directed by Patrick Hughes (The Expendables 3, Red Hill) added another $10 million according to studio estimates and ruled this rather uneventful weekend at the US charts.
This puts The Hitman’s Bodyguard down for a total of $39.6 million in the States.
The Rest Of The List
Gary Dauberman’s horror mystery “Annabelle: Creation” also managed to maintain its position – 2nd place – earning $7.3 million, while the first new arrival worth mentioning this week was the animated ballet picture “Leap!”, which landed third place at the American box office earning $5 million.
Taylor Sheridan’s action mystery “Wind River” came in 4th finally entering the top 10 to with $4.4 million, while the top five was complete with Steven Soderbergh’s “Logan Lucky,” which cashed in $4.3 million.
