The hit Netflix show “Stranger Things” featuring Winona Ryder and Millie Bobby Brown has won the hearts of mystery-hungry fans instantly when it came out of the blue this summer, and now we finally have some info on the highly anticipated season 2.
The Duffer Brothers’ hit show put the Internet rumor mill in overdrive ever since the filming of the second season was hinted a few weeks back, so let’s take a closer look into what pieces of the Stranger Things puzzle we have thus far.
To Be Continued
Now we know for sure that season 2 will be a continuation of the opening season (although we kinda already knew that).
Here’s what Matt Duffer had to say:
“Season 1 actually takes place over the course of six or seven days – it’s a really short period of time. So part of what we want to do with hypothetical season 2 is to explore the repercussions of everything that happened.”
3 New Characters?
We still don’t know, however, just how big the impact of these fresh characters will be on the narrative, but what we do know is that the fulcrum of the story and everyone’s favorite, Eleven, is indeed still alive.
“Eleven Exists In Some Form”
David Harbour, who portrays chief Hopper, recently revealed those Eggo waffles he leaves in a box at the end of the 1st season are for Eleven after all.
“He (Hopper) may understand that Eleven exists in some form”, says Harbour. “And so he’s got this box out in the woods where he gives her food.”
Season 2 Release Date
Although there is no official release date for season 2 just yet, Stranger Things are expected to return before July 2017.
Let’s just hope there aren’t any delays in production. On the other hand, it’s not like it is not possible. Stranger things have happened.
