Stephen King, affectionately known as The King Of Horror, got treated with a screening of Guillermo del Toro’s new movie Crimson Peak this weekend. Not only did he like it, he was terrified of it so. If that’s not a great review, we don’t know what is!
Stephen King’s kind words towards the film are some of the first things heard about the movie, since del Toro is still putting some finishing touches on his product. Crimson Peak will be released this fall.
Crimson Peak tells the disturbing story of a young author named Edith Cushing (played by Mia Wasikowska) who upon marrying a mysterious 19th century gentleman, Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston) moves into a eerie mansion that was once home to her new husband.
Thomas begins to show some unsuspected qualities along with his infested mansion, and Edith is forced to question whether she made the right choice. While the mysterious evil lingers through the house, tormenting Edith, a kind Dr. Alan McMichael (Charlie Hunnam) tries to save her from madness.
With the blessing from the Prince of Horror himself, there no way this movie will fail in any way.
